Awesome
5/25/2006 08:51:00 午後

Okay JCone3 was awesome. :D They had these hand mime things... Hard to explain. We have some images of it, and I'll try to upload them sometime. The whole event was excellent. There was a lot of ice cream (including the always welcome dirty ice cream). And best of all, it meant the end of the tiring days. We could rest for at least a few more weeks, until the next event, which should be WD4J's dance concert (July?).

We had a DAM bonding day to celebrate the end of the tiring days (wow that's becoming a term for me now). It happened last Tuesday. We met at CCF after Dawn Watch, then left for our house at past noon. There was 16 of us, and we went swimming and played Pictionary, etc. It was pretty fun. More pics of that as posted by our photo addicts. I'll post some of the less repetitive ones sometime. I'm a bit lazy to do it now, what with 56k and all.

We had more bonding time with some other members yesterday. We played Counter-Strike at Netopia. It was fun, of course, and we'll do it again on Saturday.

Still no luck with a job, though.

Ad Bots...
5/17/2006 11:32:00 午後

Good grief. Ad bots are now infesting tagboards. Sad to say, but I'll have to take my tagboard down for a time.

JCone 3 is coming up on Saturday. These last 3 days will be the hardest work we'll be putting into Designing Arts Ministry (hopefully). So I can't stay up, because I have to sleep early. So that's all I'll post for now.

Unlocking The Da Vinci Code
5/13/2006 10:32:00 午後

Went to a seminar called "Unlocking The Da Vinci Code". Since I went to a similar one like last November, I already knew some of the stuff they talked about. But what's important to know is that this time, the movie/book can be used to actually glorify God. Yeah that's right. A book written to discredit the Bible and try to badmouth Jesus, is now an evangelistic tool.

The Da Vinci Code, according to people who have read it, is actually well-written. Dan Brown is a good writer who knows how to stir his readers' emotions. However, the book is so poorly researched, that all the information that he tried to pass off as "fact" became so easily disprovable. If he hadn't tried to pass them off as fact, his book wouldn't have gotten as much attention, though.

I'm going to invite people and use the opportunity to share the Gospel, or stir interest in studying the Bible. The Bible has withstood criticism for thousands of years, but it's still here. Praise God for the Bible, then.

Soul Calibur III is fun. Learning to use Cassandra now. I printed out a moves list, and I'm studying it. Mikey's studying one for Tira.

I forgot to mention a few weeks back, NBA Playoffs started already, and we're already at the conference semis, in fact. Clippers are in the Playoffs (in a series against the Suns), and Lakers are out, which I think is cool. But I'm still a Detroit fan, just as I was for the past 3 years (4 years ago I was a Sonics fan).

I met a young girl who is interested in learning b-boying (or in her case, b-girling). She's also a member of the Designing Arts Ministry, which is how I met her. She's only 14, athletic, and interested, which, in my opinion, is a great recipe for the creation of a b-girl. By the time she's college age, she may be battle-worthy already. She's currently under my training, but after I teach her some of the basics, she may surpass my skills, simply because she's in better shape than me (yeah I'm sad).

More DAM meetings all week, and on Saturday is JCone! :D Ice Cream Party!

Soul Calibur 3
5/08/2006 10:29:00 午後

Wow. Well, since PIU is gone, I don't have much to do at Megamall. But good thing there's a new Soul Calibur 3 machine at TimeZone there. It's awesome. Even better, since almost nobody really knows what he's doing. So with my SC2 background, I have a chance to learn SC3 quickly and be among the top players there. I'm researching moves lists and stuff now.

Been hanging around the WD4J (JZone's dance ministry) during their practice sessions. They're having another tomorrow, and I'm taking Abby with me. We have intentions of auditioning for the ministry after their dance concert this June.

As for my training, I'm able to do about 60 ab crunches in 2 sittings. I was actually only able to pull off like 25 ab crunches at a time, but I was able to sneak in a few extra to make it 60. I think in a few days I'll be able to hit 100 in 3 sittings or better. And God's been merciful to me, because even though I'm doing that, my abs haven't hurt yet at all (like muscles normally do the day after you use them heavily).

PIU GONE!
5/05/2006 12:34:00 午前

They took away my PIU machine. :( The WoF staff of Megamall said it was "pulled-out" to another branch. Then the guy said something about getting a "new machine", but based on my experiences with WoF, he probably just said that to make me feel better. They did that before with Ez2Dancer, too, but they never got Ez2Dancer back (another arcade did, not WoF).

Been working all week with the Designing Arts Ministry of JZone. And I will be working every day except Saturday and Sunday until May 19th, then we put the whole thing up on May 20th. We're working on the design for JCone, the evangelistic ice cream party event. Boy is our design complicated this year. But it'll be cool if God allows us to finish it.

I'm also watching the Dance Ministry (WD4J) in their practice sessions. I spoke to their choreographer, Niño, who told me that one of the things I should train would be my ab strength. My goal now is to be able to do 100 ab crunches, and I need to be able to do that within a month. If I can do that, my abs will be strong enough to help me greatly with many b-boy moves. That, and it'll also help me lose weight and look better rofl.

Lastly, Abby and I are going to do something crazy today (Friday). Since Abby got that haircut, she's started to look a lot more Korean (not that she didn't look Korean before). I also look Korean (at least a little) actually, but I don't dress like them. So today, we're going to dress like them, like all-out Korean mode rofl. Not the comfortable mode, like shorts and forwards-pointing baseball cap. We'll dress like what you'd see from Korean celebrities. It'll be hilarious rofl. Maybe some people won't recognize me in particular, because I've always dressed like a b-boy to Soul Stop/JZone.
